A cousin is getting married next weekend and everyone’s so excited! Even my uncle has special ordered some tapai from Keningau, all 5 jars of ‘em! He even said that he’ll make sure everyone will get drunk. Oh my! Let’s not even mention the amount of beers and liquors my cousins will bring. The thought of it makes me wanna…. pass out! :-P

So what’s the best gift to give a cousin on his wedding day? Angpow is surely a must, but giving a gift is something different. At least they’ll have something to hold on to in the future and know that it’s from ME! He he he. Boy, if I have all the money, I’d give them some jewelry deals as their wedding gifts. Right now, the only thing I can think of is.. a baby stroller. LOL

Was out having some drink with my uncle last weekend when my partner mentioned to him how he miss jamming with their friends – like they used to do not long ago. So my uncle suggested that they should start having their regular jamming session again every weekend at his friend’s place – who happens to have a mini studio in his backyard. According to my partner, this friend of his has a complete set of music instrument: drum set, keyboard, guitar.. maybe even Boss brand of items! And I think it’s really cool that he has all that. So I am really looking forward for their next jamming session at our of our local pub. It’s always fun being around my uncle. He’s so cool, despite his age. LOL

Logged on to Facebook today and saw a message from a friend about his upcoming trip to Sabah next month. Coincidentally, he’s arriving on the same date when my mother celebrates her birthday! *gasp*

I’ve already planned to take my mother out for something special, dinner at a nice place maybe then followed by jalan-jalan makan angin after. Now that my friend’s coming over on the same day (and he’ll only be here for a day!) looks like I would have to slip him into the plan as well. Adui. Where am I gonna take him? Join us for dinner? Ha ha ha. Or maybe I just get him a puzzle ring and make him play with it in his hotel room all night.

But that would be so mean.

Ah well.. I’ll come up with something..

The light in my mini office is actually quite dim. In fact, whenever I work on my computer, I can hardly see the letters on the keyboard. It’s THAT dim. And the fact that I’ve just got an IKEA floor lamp next to my table still does not help much – maybe because the lamp’s light is facing upward instead of downwards where I needed light the most.

I guess it’s time to get some ceiling light fixtures right above my seat. Maybe that will enhance the brightness on my table. Else, just get a mini lamp to put right beside my computer screen. Instant fix! :-D

Business woman :P

My brother and his partner just started a new business, apart from the current business they have: and I am proud to say that I am part of their new business! Before they started this new business, my brother has been running this creative design company which includes graphic design, web design, video editing and music production. Speaking of music production, he has made quite a number of music/song arrangement for friends (hey, who else are we gonna start with in a new business but.. friends!) ..all from the comfort of his own home! Business is going real good and pretty soon, he’ll be using those Avid Technology!

As for his new business, we are currently working on our T-Shirt design and printing. :-D My brother just got the equipment for the T-Shirt printing and it costs quite expensive… but we believe that in time, the business is gonna grow like his music production. :-D

Scorching hot weather today :(

With the hot weather like this, I think nobody wants to get out from the comfort of their home. That includes me! Was out having breakfast with my parents and partner this morning when the heat got into all of us. Everyone complained about how hot it is. It’s waaaaaay too hot! I told my mom that I pity those who had to work outside, under the hot scorching sun. Like that man we saw clearing the bushes at the cemetery. So kesian…. Would be nice to just stay at home (or work from home) enjoying the newly installed flat screen tv with the flat panel mounts installed, sipping a glass of cold orange juice.. Wahhhhh!

Maybe it’ll rain later today making it all cool again. :-)

Just another manic.. Monday?

It feels like Monday today. My workload is piling up and I feel like I’m moving too slow. Could it be that my table is getting smaller coz it’s filled up with stuffs now? Do I need to get a new rack to keep my files, books and whatnot? And do I need to get a new logitech universal remote for my mouse, wifi (eh, can kah??) and lights? I feel like I need an assistant to help me with things! :-(

But like my brother said, being busy means money. Oh yeah! And I have one person to thank for that. Dear God. :-)

It finally rain today!! And… twice! Woohoo!! I’m so happy that the cloud finally waters the earth with it’s beautiful rain. It was quite a heavy rain, I must say. And I took the chance to have my power nap in the afternoon. Even my dog agrees that it’s a nice afternoon to sleep in. He slept with me on the bed the whole time! LOL

Of course, I was hungry when I woke up and there’s just too many things to eat, I don’t even know where to start. And since I am trying to lose some weight before my cousin’s wedding, I decided to skip the junk food and go for healthier choice – an apple. Ha ha. Went to my table and start surfing the Net for nothing. Just surfing and reading about structured settlement quote – which I have no idea what it was.

And then I feel even more hungry! Guess I should try those noodle my sister bought. It looks yummy!

Dream the impossible dream

As a child, I’ve always wanted to be a ballerina. But my parents moved from city to another due to work, so my dancing classes was always put into halt. Not every city has a ballerina class, which made it even more difficult for me. Towards the end, I had to bury my dreams. I now collect ballerina figurines or anything that has a ballerina printed on it.

Maybe when I have a child of my own someday, I will sign her up for ballet class and dress her in the cutest tutu I can find. And on her birthday, I’d get her gifts for ballerinas! That way, my dream would somehow..come true. :-)

The week started pretty busy for me. There are emails from potential clients to reply, mock designs to be submitted and a few other designs to be made. Very busy, I must say that I don’t even have time to make my nails or repaint my toenails. They look pretty ugly with all those cracked polish! Maybe I’ll do them tonight before going to bed. Bahhh.. so many things I haven’t done since I started this work from home thingy. My books are starting to have a few dusts on them since I hardly have time to touch them now. Ha ha! Now who said working from home is so much fun??

I’m thankful, however.. Having this great opportunity to work from home and still be able to look at my puppy while I work. AND I get to work in my pyjamas and messy hair! I can’t imagine doing other thing than this.. for all you know, I could be working at the public hospital pushing medical carts!

So be thankful. Always be thankful of what you have.
