Give thanks

The week started pretty busy for me. There are emails from potential clients to reply, mock designs to be submitted and a few other designs to be made. Very busy, I must say that I don’t even have time to make my nails or repaint my toenails. They look pretty ugly with all those cracked polish! Maybe I’ll do them tonight before going to bed. Bahhh.. so many things I haven’t done since I started this work from home thingy. My books are starting to have a few dusts on them since I hardly have time to touch them now. Ha ha! Now who said working from home is so much fun??

I’m thankful, however.. Having this great opportunity to work from home and still be able to look at my puppy while I work. AND I get to work in my pyjamas and messy hair! I can’t imagine doing other thing than this.. for all you know, I could be working at the public hospital pushing medical carts!

So be thankful. Always be thankful of what you have.

Saturday with the bunches

It’s been a very hot day today, despite the rain. It was so scorching hot, I didn’t feel like wearing anything! But of course, I couldn’t. LOL

So my family and I went to the mall for lunch with my mom’s sister and my cousins. We had fried banana with cheese as well. It might sound weird, but it tasted so good! Maybe not as good as getting a Nolan N90 for your birthday, but it sure beats the boredomness of feeling hot all day. And then later, we proceeded to buying some stuff from the Christian shop. I, as usual, got myself some incense again. I just love them incense. It reminds me so much of Easter Vigil where the priest would burn some incense and ‘spread’ it all over the church. Such a good feelings it gave!

Well the lunch outing was great, we plan to make it as often as we could.

I’ve always liked Saturday. In fact, today was quite a happy Saturday.

First of all, I got a blog design done and the client was so happy with my service, she paid $100 extra as tip! Now, wouldn’t that REALLY make your day?!! It sure did mine! I’m sure gonna put the money to good use: for starters, I purchased a genuine Blackberry leather phone casing to replace my old one – it’s broken and in need of a tender loving care. And to add cherry on top, the leather casing is in PINK! Yay!!! I can also buy some streetwear at FlyMode.com, because I seriously need new clothes in my closet.

Also in the late afternoon, my custom made chic, country-designed sofa finally arrives! Woohoo!! It has a touch of Ikea and Fella Design touch (that both me and my partner designed) and we love it so much!!!!

OK, gonna extend my happiness somewhere else.

God is so good!

Missing the old life

I miss the night life I used to have back in the West. My partner would be performing almost nightly with his group of friends and I would normally tag along – if there’s nothing much to do at home. He would be playing on his Sapetar, his awesome Australian friend would be jamming along with his 5 string bass while his great drummer will be hitting up on his double pedal drum. Great life, great life… I wonder if we’ll meet up again with his friends someday and see them jam along together like they used to..

2012 seems like a good year for me. A few projects are coming in and you can almost see the $$$ sign on my eyes. Ha ha!

Anyway, before I could hatch up a plan in getting a brand new tablet (preferably a bb playbook), I would probably use the money to setup my new studio: my graphic studio. Right now, my studio is in a sorry state.. I would have to buy a new table, a chair.. and probably a brand new PC as well!

Now let us all hope that the year of the Dragon will bring us more fortune and good luck.. and more $$$

I was at the beach

I was out walking along the beach yesterday with my partner and sibling when we came across this beautiful sunset view:

It made me stop and think that ..life is indeed beautiful, if you stop to smell the flowers, or rather stop to see the sunset. He he. And then on our way back, we bumped into a cousin’s wife and her lovely daughter. Such a sweet surprise for we haven’t seen them for quite a while. She looked so beautiful! I guess that’s what you become when you have love in your family. *wink* She just got back from a visit to Manila with her husband and I think it made her glow when she said that. LOL. I suggested that they should go somewhere farther for their 2nd (or 3rd) honeymoon. To Canada perhaps and see those steel buildings in canada! Ha ha. That’ll be something new, right?

Bizzy Biz

A friend and I was talking about setting up our own business over here. Of course, it must have something to do with cuteness and pink (my favorite color and thing, after all). There were a few suggestions that came up and one of it was about opening up a chic cafe. LOL. Like we know how to run a cafe.. But even if we DO open up a cafe (and learn how to cook in a quickie), we would have to have a lot of fund for it. Maybe for starters we can get those used restaurant equipments? Wouldn’t cost much but at least they are still usable. Besides, it’s good to recycle.

Or maybe we should open up a cupcake cafe…Hmmm

So many things, so little moola :P

Moved into our new apartment. A lot of work has to be done. There’s the new furniture to buy, new wall paints (because I didn’t like the current wall paint color), new curtains to buy..and a brand new samsung lcd to get! We practically do not have anything in this house, except for the pots and pans that my mom brought in for us! Ha ha ha. At times like this, I wish I have all the money in the world so I could just get any nice furniture I like, any wallpaper and pay someone to get it fixed.

Anyone would like to donate some money to me? *hee*

Going jobless

Last day at work today.. should I be happy? I finally could spend more time on the computer, working on my freelance graphic design stuff. Right? Or should I spend the time to myself, meditating and exercising? Sounds like really cool too! Or maybe I should start packing some stuff and advertising my other things that I can, since we’re moving to another state soon. Whatever it is, I HAVE to do something! Maybe start hunting for a job for next year – Radiologic Technologist Jobs sounds interesting as well? Maybe I should try that one out, see if anyone would gimme a chance. Ha ha!

Whatever it is, I hope God will be with me along the way…

Coach Poppy – Yay!

I finally got me a Coach Poppy bag. Hurray!!

The Poppy collection comes in a few pieces, but I particularly love the Legacy collection – particularly the colorful stripes. I first saw this collection at a local website in Malaysia. I was so eager to get one the moment I saw it and instantly fell head over heels in love with it!

A few months of saving some $$, I finally get to buy one! I am still keeping the dust bag, paper bag, the receipt and even the laser barcode scanner label for rememberance.

After all, this is my first expensive bag. :-P
