I wonder if it’s too hard to smile for some people? Because last weekend, I was grocery shopping at the local supermarket nearby my place and the lady who works as the cashier as having this particular look that my mom would categorize as “if look can kill”.

From the moment I arranged my stuffs on the counter, she looked quite annoyed to me. I wonder if it’s my cute top or hair that’s making her that way. :-P But one thing for sure, she wasn’t smiling at all. As she scanned my items through the barcode scanner, I was kind of..er..cursing inside. Ha ha!

After paying, I noticed that she forgotten to return my change – which was 10 cents. I made a fuss and asked for my change. She was obviously surprised but tried to maintain calm. The cash machine had been locked and the only way she could open it to get my change was to call her manager. Surely, it took a while for everything to get settled.

I know it was only 10 cents, but that lady never smiled at me. If only she has been so courteous enough, I would’ve just asked her to keep the change!

Next time, remember to smile to your customers.
